New for this year, the Cascade 4 enters the Polygon lineup, borrowing much of its technology from the highly popular Polygon Premier series from previous years.
Utilising a new lighter frame, the Cascade 4 is now one of the lightest mountain bikes in its category on the market. The aluminium frame is combined with reliable and durable components, which compared to other brands in the same price point makes the Polygon Cascade 4 the clear bike of choice.
With the 27.5” wheels, the bike is not only an efficient commuter but can comfortably handle itself on mountain bike tracks and the front Suntour XCM fork validates the claim. The thicker 30mm stanchions on this model mean that the forks won’t flex under load and provide a very smooth and plush feel when riding over obstacles.
The rear Shimano Tourney rear derailleur has been improved for this year, now capable of handling the 8 speed cassette. This is then combined with the Shimano Altus front derailleur to give a total of 24 gears, enough to tackle any kind of terrain.
Braking on the Polygon Cascade 4.0 is handled by Tektro disc brakes both front and back. Having disc brakes on a mountain bikes makes a world of a difference especially when you’re riding in wet weather and need reliable braking performance.
Should you need it there are rack mounts on the frame for rear baby seats or pannier racks.
To keep you connected to the ground at all times the bike comes with stainless steel spokes laced onto 27.5” double wall alloy rims – adding massive doses of strength to the wheelset.
